Mina Olivera
Involved in theater most of
her life, Mina Olivera had her professional debut in Brazil at age
13 and later starred in the award winning film, Adagio ao Sol.
She has a BA with honors from the UCLA School of Theater,
Film and Television, and has performed with Latino Theater Company
Laboratory (acclaimed director Jose Luis Valenzuela).
Credits include: Comedy Central show “Reno 911!”
(recurring character), "Freddie", "Las Vegas",
and the pilot for "Grand Union." She’s the female lead
in “On the Run”, to be released in 2011, and in “Shrink”,
starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Williams.
She’s a recent member of Edgemar Theater Company,
directed by Michelle Danner. Mina co-founded NOVICA, a
socially-driven internet company, a global company that impacted
the lives of over 10,000 artisans and their families, and has been
recognized for its social impact, including receiving the Schwab
Foundation social entrepreneurship award.
